How do I find and filter trips in the list?

Trips are accessible from the Dashboard (recent ones) or from the dedicated Trips section, organized by month with the most recent first. Each entry shows departure, destination, date, distance, consumption and tags. You can search by location/notes and filter by date range or tags.

List features:

  • Trips are organized by month, most recent first
  • Each trip shows: departure, destination, date, distance, consumption and tags
  • Use the search bar to find trips by location or notes
  • Filter by date range or by tags

What does the trip detail view show?

Tapping a trip opens the route map, the detailed statistics (distance, duration, average and max speed), the consumption data, and the tags and notes associated with that trip.

What you find in the detail:

  • Route map
  • Detailed statistics (distance, duration, average and max speed)
  • Consumption data
  • Associated tags and notes

How do I edit a trip that's already saved?

To edit a trip, tap it from the list and press "Edit" in the top right. You can change dates, locations, odometer readings, tags and notes at any time.

How do I organize trips by category using tags?

Tags organize trips by category (e.g., "Work", "Personal", "Vacation"). You can create custom tags and assign them during or after the trip. Location-based tags also support a custom radius from 100m to 4km.

How do I view all my trips on a single map?

From the Trips section, set your desired filters (date range, tags), then tap the "..." menu in the top right and select "Trips Map" to see all filtered trips on one map.

The steps:

  1. Go to the Trips section
  2. Set your desired filters (date range, tags)
  3. Tap the "..." menu in the top right
  4. Select "Trips Map"
💡The map uses the same filters active in the trip list. Use narrower filters if you have many trips for a clearer view.

In which formats can I export a trip?

A single trip can be exported in three formats: Magica (native, for sharing with other Magica users), GPX (standard GPS, compatible with navigation and map apps) and KML (Google Earth and Google Maps).

Available formats:

  • Magica — Native app format, useful for sharing with other Magica users
  • GPX — Standard GPS track format, compatible with most navigation and map apps
  • KML — Google Earth format, ideal for viewing the route on Google Earth or Google Maps
💡To export, open the trip detail, tap the "..." menu and select "Export trip", then choose the desired format.
