How to export your data and back up the app.

Exporting data

You can export your data in different formats depending on the data type. From the trip list and refueling list, or from the backup section:

  • CSV — To open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. You can choose which fields to include
  • PDF — Formatted report with charts and statistics, ideal for sharing
  • Backup — To export a complete backup

Backup

Magica offers two backup options so you never lose your data:

Automatic backup (iCloud)

  1. Go to vehicle detail > "..." button > Manage Backup
  2. Enable "Automatic Backup"
  3. Backup is performed automatically to iCloud
  4. In case of device loss, you can restore everything
ℹ️The backup is managed by the operating system. In case of issues with iOS, insufficient space, or no internet, the backup may be compromised.

Manual backup

  1. Go to vehicle detail > "..." button > Manage Backup
  2. Tap "Export Backup" or "Run a backup now"
  3. The backup is exported directly or saved to iCloud

Restoration

To restore a backup:

  1. Go to vehicle detail > "..." button > Manage Backup
  2. Tap "Import a backup" and choose the file to import

What's included in the backup

  • All vehicles and their settings
  • All trips with GPS data
  • All refueling and charges
  • Tags, notes and attached documents
  • App preferences and settings
  • Statistics and earned badges
ℹ️The saved backup is always for the active vehicle.
